An "include" flag, similar to the "exclude" flag

I think an “include” flag can be handy when running locally (neptune run) and the exclusion list grows pretty big for a big code-base.
This would help in two ways:

  • manage storage space better by enabling us to specify only the necessary, defining files to be uploaded to source when running experiments locally.
  • deploying runs faster since lesser time is used in uploading sources

Ref (for exclude parameter):

A `neptune run` that does not upload any files

Hi @soumya,

This seems like an interesting idea. The main idea for uploading sources to the server is reproducibility, that’s why we didn’t consider selective inclusion. We’ll think about it . Thanks for the request.

For now you can add following line to your neptune.yaml file:

exclude: ['*']
